From Matthews Family:

"We greatly appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers and concern, from family, friends and the community. We appreciated the fact that so many have rallied together for us during this difficult time. We wish to thank all the students and staff at East Union High School, the medical staff who has taken such great care of Matthew at San Joaquin General Hospital and finally the community itself. Thank you for your support."

We are sad to notify everyone that Matthew passed away Friday night, September 23, 2005. Matthew remained on life support through Saturday while his extensive family members traveled to pay their last respects. We apologize for this late news, but we gave the family time to get to the hospital and see Matthew and visit with him. I thank you for all the support you have shown to this wonderful family and I pray that in the coming days we can all come together and support them even more. I will post more information as soon as I can. Matthew we will miss you always.

Love Everyone!
