Dear Matt and family:
Matt ,I did not have the pleasure of knowing you however I am part of the football community in Manteca that has stepped forward to offer my condolences to your family. Your injury and passing is a shock to us all. I took my son, a former jaguar and current SHS player and his friends to the candle light vigil to pray for your recovery, tonight we pray for your safe journey home to the big game in the sky. You join a select few of hometown heroes that have passed far too young. I also send my prayers to your friends and teammates who will have a ruff road ahead, look after them and know their tears are a testament to their love. East Union, Friday nights nor football in general will never be the same again. And all I can ask is why??? Such a loss, words cannot say how sorry I am. As a Mother, I can only imagine the nightmare your parents and family are going through, please let them know they are not alone.
